EAR SYRINGING CLINICS

Ear Syringing Within the Practice

From the beginning of September 2015, we no longer offer ear syringing appointments during normal clinics.

1 clinic a month has been set up for patients to have their ears syringed specifically & no other appointments will be booked outside of these clinics. Patients will also need to be assessed by the Practice Nurse prior to having their ears syringed.

Due to our limited capacity, we are advising patients to 'self-help' before calling up for a pre-assessment. Please feel free to read our 'self-help' leaflet for more information.

Ear Syringing Self Help

Private Ear Syringing Clinic

Local hearing care specialists, The Hearing Care Centre, have teamed up with Wickham Market Medical Practice to offer a private clinic dedicated to earwax removal. The Hearing Care Centre's Ear Care Practitioner, Sarah Nichols, will be holding a monthly clinic in Wickham Market in the third Monday of every month (subject to change).

The Hearing Care Centre offers a relaxed atmosphere, allowing sufficient time with all their patients to remove wax in a safe and gentle way. They also offer an on-screen video image of the wax in the ear and the cleared ear after treatment.

During this procedure, the patient sits in a chair and the ear is rinsed with warm water from an electronic irrigator. The wax and water is collected in a basin or cup-shaped device which the patient holds under their ear.

The cost of this private service is £40 for one ear or £60 for both, with appointments lasting around 30 minutes.

To book an appointment please call The Hearing Care Centre on 01473 230330 or visit www.hearingcarecentre.co.uk/waxremoval for more details.
